A quick scratchpad that lives in your browser. Open it, jot the thing down, close it. Nothing to set up, nothing to sign into.
Everything you type stays on this device, in this browser's local storage. Notes are never uploaded to a server, never synced across devices, and never read by anyone at XUsAll. That also means a note written here will not appear on your phone, and clearing your browser data clears your notes.
Opening XUsNotes always starts you on a new, empty note with the cursor ready. Your earlier notes are still in the sidebar. If you leave a note empty and move on, it is discarded rather than saved as clutter.
By default, notes stay until you delete them. If you prefer a scratchpad that cleans up after itself, turn on "Auto delete after 30 days" in settings. Starred notes are always kept, even with that setting on.
Select a note in the sidebar and use the trash icon on that row, or use "Delete all notes" in settings to clear everything at once. Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no trash bin and no undo, because there is no copy of your note anywhere else.
Settings can export every note to a single file, and import that file back on another browser or machine. Import merges, it does not overwrite. This is the only way notes ever leave this device, and you are the one who moves them.
The magnifying glass searches titles and body text as you type. The sort icon orders the list by date edited, by name, or with starred notes first.
Bold, italic, underline, heading, bullet list, numbered list, and checklist. Clear formatting returns the selected text to plain type. Copy note copies the whole note with its formatting intact, so it pastes cleanly elsewhere. A word and character count sits quietly in the bottom corner.
Switch modes with the sun or moon icon in the top corner. Your choice is remembered on this device.
